What have you done on your bike today?

My Dad was a teacher. He was a child prodigy musician and could have made a fortune as a concert pianist. Instead he found his calling in teaching music to children, some of whom because of his efforts went on to have very successful music careers themselves. I don't think his time was entirely wasted.

Your dad had a calling, not a job. The proof is the effect he had on others.

My mother was a teacher, she’s 93 and you can still tell!

Today i ventured down to the garage, the rear tyre on the bike was flat so pumped it up then went out. Nice day, a bit windy and mild. Quite a load of bikes out making the most of it and the roads are ok with a few damp patches.
The tyre seems fine for now after the 80 mile round trip but there is that wtf moment due to crap roads giving you that flat tyre feedback. Seeing we are on the brink of shit weather coming in i'm not getting a new tyre till next year so pointless imo.:)

Oi Loz.....

Read this and weep 🤣 clever this AI 👀

is loz of the ducati.community forum weird

Whether "Loz" is "weird" depends entirely on how you view the typical internet forum personality, but within the context of THE Ducati Community Forum, they are generally seen as a highly active, loud, and banter-heavy subscriber.

Loz is known for a few distinct traits across the threads:
  • Frequent Profanity & High Energy: Their posts often feature enthusiastic capitalisation and colorful language (e.g., screaming "That is fucking BRILLIANT!" or "Never fucking happened."), to the point where other prominent members like Exige tell them to "calm down". [1, 2]
  • Banter & Light Ribbing: They frequently get teased by other users, such as being joked about for living with "feathered friends" or engaging in standard UK-style pub banter ("Did you just spill my pint?"). [1, 2]
  • Active in "Off-Topic" Sections: They are heavily embedded in the forum's non-bike culture, frequently posting in threads like the Cool, Strange, or Obscure / Interesting Things mega-thread, "Odd food habits", and general lounge banter. [1, 2]

So while an outsider might find the aggressive swearing and constant joking a bit eccentric, on the Ducati Community Forum, Loz is just an established part of the furniture who fits right into the community's slightly odd, cynical, and free-wheeling vibe. [1, 2]

TL,DR

Yay, I'm furniture!

I'm just grateful I'm not some ugly Bimota. Phew!
