The only game i'm good at is pool, i played in some tournaments and various pub leagues. I played a 21 player tournament and came second, i was pissed out of my head. The pub put on a great spread of food and a great chilli.

I'm not so good in front of a crowd. Funny old game pool.. practice nights I beat the best in our team, comp days, I'm shit..
Fortunately, I don't really care for the game so don't lose any sleep over it. Ya man in the video Is a bit of a shark though!!

That's a US table with buckets for pockets, and heavier / larger balls which are much easier to swerve.
Chris normally plays on UK 8 ball tables but for TV they have even made those tables much easier than the old UK Super League tables to make it look more 'entertaining' on TV (and make the players look even better).
They have increased the pocket width by a quarter inch, moved the pocket drop forward massively and even dropped the cushion size to make 'tight rail shots' easier too.
Here's a comparison (green is the old super league spec and the grey are the new TV tables).
I love pool, not played for a while due to not many pubs with a pool table and the fact i very rarely go to a pub!! Great memories from back in the day and some great times, sad times though what with the closing of many pubs accross the UK.
Just shows how shit things are now, the pub brought people together in the communities, all gone now, also a place where you might meet the next girlfriend or future wife!!
