The biggest problem is how to apply this in quantum physics, it starts to get very complicated and devisive! Just saying.

My guess is that it will have diesel engines and the wind will be 'wind assist' only - imaging how long it would take to sail from China to the UK compared to a normal cargo ship if it's diesel engines weren't working the full journey

There is an easy way, get rid of all electronic devices (post 1990's autos included), build a shelter away from people and live as intended. Wake up, hunt for food, maintain said shelter, gather water and energy supplies, eat, sleep, rinse and repeat.

I imagine bikes are similar to autos in tracking or ability to hack as infotainment systems and monitors become the norm.
Tire pressure monitoring is one on bikes that may be hackable. I wonder how many networks are running on the new Ducatis? At least one.
If one connects a phone to an integrated infotainment system, that's where they get you. There's very little legislation or policy to limit use of that data (metadata, voice, texts, cookies, browsing history, contacts) by auto makers. Plus we give permission blindly most of the time. If only we could charge companies for the use of our metadata. Then the cost of everything would likely increase.
