Most irresponsible imo. What kind of impression does that send out to impressionable young boys learning to ride when they see an adult not taking safety seriously? Those aren't proper motocross boots.

Is there a large newer biking generation, seems to me the younger bikers are a bit thin on the ground so it may not be only the stink wheels that get left unloved

Here in NZ there has been an upsurge of youth in the Off-Road biking fraternity, one would hope as they age and lose the recovery ability they might turn to road bikes, incidentally 2 Strokes are becoming far more popular as well.
