Today i went to work for 4 hours then was to head home and get picked up at 12.30 to go look at a job out at a beach about an hour away( lil less if the main rd was open).
Ive packed all the tools in the motor and goes to get the keys offa the kitchen table where i put them . No keys.
Spend 10 mins looking with no success before i ring matey and tell him it looks like i will not be able to make it to look at job. Then spend the next 30 mins looking fucken eveywhere, emptied all tools out the car, searched through dust sheets , looked in rooms of the house that id never been in, nothing.
Lynn, the client, is helping me and giving me shit, telling me i need to call the aa and get my car towed etc.. im on the phone and calling aa when lynn yells out from inside that she has found them. Wbere were they? In her fucken hand bag!!!!! Coulda murdered the old bat!!!!! She now owes me a box of beer, she text me later to say its in the fridge for monday..

We made it out to the beach to look at this job. Ont way out there, at about 1 30, the main road was closed , scheduled to re-open at 3.00, so we took the detour.
That involes queuing up and waiting for a pilot vehicle to guide ya through. In this case we waited 25 mins. Then its about 25 mins of gravel roads ( alot less if ya wernt doing 30kph(.
Anyhu, on leaving at about 4.00 we thought we would be able to take the main rd home but when we get there, the detour sign Is still up. I joked that they had probably forgotten to take it down. So we make a left turn and head to the detour. We are the first car in the que so obviously we have just missed the pilot vehicle and will have to wait an age. We call over to the muppet sitting in the booth and ask if he knows how long it will be and why the main road aint open, he has no clue.
We sit for about 10 mins before me mates son , who left shortly before us, rings to ask where we are. Turns out he ignored the detour sign , went straight on and the main road was open.
The fucken muppets had forgotten rmto take the sign down. And worse they hadn't let the other team know they had opened the road so they were still running a pilot vehicale hours after ...
