Vicariously Touring With Itchy Boots

Well, as this section may be empty for some time due to the plague, I thought some of you may be able to get your touring fix vicariously through the adventures of the wonderfully effervescent and positive Noraly Schoenmaker, a.k.a. Itchy Boots.

I guess a lot of you will have seen her, but for those that haven't, she's a Dutch lady who packed it all in and tours the world alone with only her motorbike for company.

Series 1 started in in India and it morphed into her riding all the way back to the Netherlands on her Royal Enfield Himalayan "Basanti" The videos begin in a little bit of an amateur fashion at about 5 mins long, and gradually increase to around 15 mins each.

Series 2 starts in Buenos Aires with much more polished videos, where she and her new Royal Enfield Himalayan "Dhanno" head to the south tip of Argentina with the intention od taking 18 months riding to Alaska. The trip is cut short with the outbreak of Covid, with Itchy Boots returning to the Netherlands and leaving her beloved Dhanno in South America until she can return.

Series 3 begins with Noraly literally getting Itchy Boots and with a return to South America being off the card for now, buys a Honda CB500X "Ronin" to tour around Europe. This is where we currently find her travelling through Iceland, Sweden and Norway.

She's a great human being doing exaclty what she loves. She seems to have no fear and is up for anything, whether that be camping in the middle of nowhere of trying the world's smelliest food,Surströmming.

Watched each and every episode available, she is now back in N.L. Hence my post with the idea to invite her over on here as a guest speaker, her first bike ( not that long ago was a Ducati Monster, so she sure has an interest, for anyone interested in travel on two wheels, it’s a good watch, funny and yes she gets better at it as times goes along, the drone shots in the vids are fab!
 
Not technically touring, But Boots is trying to make some motorcycle content during lockdown.

Today she's riding mini motos at Assen. :love:

I agree. Especially impressed with her for replacing a tube in the middle of nowhere, I've nipped more tubes putting a tyre back on than you can shake a stick at.

Also, she bumped into a solo female cyclist out in the sticks of Argentina/Chile and stopped to check she was ok. They agreed that men tend to do these sdventures in groups and that women are ok solo? I

i haven't watched any of her vids for a while. last ones i watched was her getting herself back to holland after being locked down in a village somewhere in south america .she was ridding a Royal Enfield Himalayan but had to leave it there
