A fantastic engine that didn't kick off main stream, shame really, there is a guy who goes to Loomies cafe that has a Norton F1, he told me he paid 4K for it. Take a look at what they are worth nowThanks @WAYNE I enjoyed the videos. I had no idea they were putting Rotary engines on bikes (then again I don't know much about much), that custom Norton, Kawa, Aprilia, Honda build was tits!

Met the guy twice at Loomies, nice bloke and i did notice the bike did smoke a lot, so i think the rotary tips are worn out! It's an easy job to do but an engine out and strip down to cure.I've never seen an F1 at Loomies
I used to own a hybrid Norton F1. It was my old Yam XJ900F - they shared the same brakes, you know!
You didn't notice that the smoke had a blue tinge? It's two stroke oil mucker, added at a very low ratio, to help with lubrication and longevity of said rotor tips.Met the guy twice at Loomies, nice bloke and i did notice the bike did smoke a lot, so i think the rotary tips are worn out! No blue tinge it was oil burning, the rotary does smoke anyway due to the heat the motor produces, i was at Thruxton marshaling in 1988 when Steve Spray and Trevor Nation won the championship on the Nortons, we where on the so called straight the run up to the chicane, the fucking pipes where white hot with a two to three foot flame coming out of the pipes, they do like a big slurp of oil.You didn't notice that the smoke had a blue tinge? I remember the complaints by the other riders - you cannot slipstream the Nortons due to the risk of incinerationNo blue tinge it was oil burning, the rotary does smoke anyway due to the heat the motor produces, i was at Thruxton marshaling in 1988 when Steve Spray and Trevor Nation won the championship on the Nortons, we where on the so called straight the run up to the chicane, the fucking pipes where white hot with a two to three foot flame coming out of the pipes, they do like a big slurp of oil.
