The Rise and Fall of Bimota

The DB1 was a looker.

The rest of them... their appeal was in their exclusivity, as Skitz (or whoever hacked his account in order to post something sensible for once) suggests.

Deffo lining yourselves up for a debate on who’s the sveltest/ stupid sandwich award.

That reminds me, I must give the garden grass the last pre winter cut and take it away in the wheel barrow.
Do you know which way your wheel barrow goes as you seem to have issues with mongyness

Hmmm, I'm not so sure. Don't care for the billet pieces on the frame and the end of the swinging arm and I'd rather have the SF's single-sider. But the rectangular section frame looks nicer, as does the headlight unit and tail piece. Can't decide beyond that without seeing the other side.
The SF can look fabulous with some considered upgrades. But I'll bet the DB7 is easier to work on. The SF is a pig because it just a stripped back 1098 SB and they hide wires and plumbing in the most maddening places to clean up the lines. Even removing the pillion pegs is a PITA because there's a completely unnecessary third bolt hidden under the subframe and you need to cut down an allen key and dislocate your fingers to get at it. You'd like to think Bimota avoided that nonsense with a ground-up design.

I like it but I'd prefer it all red without the white bits as I don't really like white on bikes.
I prefer the DB8 sports bike, even with the white panels though I can't quite say why.

It appears Donald the Trump was correct when he said AI should be called Superior Intelligence - wow it is accurate 😮

Yes, the Bimota Tesi 3D Edizione Finale is exactly the kind of motorcycle that provokes intense envy, fascination, and "lust" from the global riding community. As a rolling piece of mechanical art limited to just 45 units worldwide, it generates deep admiration—and plenty of healthy jealousy—primarily because of its ultra-rare status, eye-watering price tag, and radical engineering.
Owners report that riding or parking this machine anywhere instantly turns it into a high-stakes attention magnet.

Why It Command So Much Envy

🦄 Absolute Rarity & Exclusivity
With only 45 examples ever built, the Bimota Tesi 3D Edizione Finale represents the absolute end of an era—the final production run of Ducati-powered Bimotas. It is a legendary collector's piece that most riders will only ever see behind velvet ropes at museums like the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.

🛠️ Mind-Bending Engineering
Unlike 99% of bikes on the road, the Tesi 3D scraps traditional front forks entirely. It utilizes a hub-centric steering system combined with a front trellis swingarm and carbon fibre detailing. This design separates steering forces from braking forces, allowing the bike to remain perfectly level under hard braking. Watching the front end complexly articulate is pure mechanical voyeurism for gearheads.

🎭 The Ultimate Crowd Magnet
According to real-world owner reviews documented on Reddit's Motorcycle Community, driving the Tesi 3D is a chaotic exercise in fame. Owners report that cars will constantly pace them on the motorway just to take videos on their phones, and parking it anywhere immediately draws a crowd of both motorcyclists and non-riders.

💰 The "Rich Man's Toy" Factor
Because Bimotas are premium boutique exotics costing tens of thousands of pounds, they trigger the classic envy reserved for things normal people simply cannot afford. On automotive marketplaces like Iconic Motorbike Auctions, these bikes are treated like high-end sculpture, often bought with delivery mileage and kept in climate-controlled garages as appreciating assets.

While a few purists mock it as "needlessly complicated", the general consensus from forums like Ducati Community and Adventure Rider is a mix of awe and desire. It is a motorcycle that says you value avant-garde Italian engineering over standard performance metrics.
