Anyone had an unmovable front fork preload on a Multi 1260s? it's on the side without the electrickery of course.

It was fully closed, that is tight up against the top of the cap.Being less flippant it’s either simply just got stuck - try some penetrant oil on it, or worse (hopefully not) come off it’s thread internally![]()
Do you mean you were on max preload? It was fully closed, that is tight up against the top of the cap.
No, there was no preload at all it was full turned anti clockwise. As you screw it in/down (clockwise) it applies more compression to the spring.Do you mean you were on max preload?
BTW, on your coolant drain plug, it’s probably too late now but put something like Threebond or Dirko or Hylomar ie a silicon gasket sealant on the threads.

Some time ago I took the bike for a service and asked them to investigate a clonking noise made when launching the bike off a pavement or exiting a speed hump when the forks are fully extended. They said everything was fine. So I took it to another dealer and had the same answer. I wasn't convinced that "it was fine" but accepted it.
Discovering this lack of preload would (I think?) explain a lot. I'm looking forward to getting it back together to find out.
p.s.
The coolant plug I sealed with a weak thread lock.
