Everything KTM thread

Buy one, yeah, yeah, buy one 😁
I had a RC390, but struggled to get my leg over - o'er missus! The pillion seat was effectively a seat hump to a solo seat and I struggled with it. Until a rode it back to Fowlers in order to p/x it against a Duke that effectively has the same engine. Of course, the last time I rode it, it was fine to get on!

That makes my opinion worthless, but it was a good bike!!!

You never mentioned You had issues getting your leg over
In fairness, I think that KTM have changed the design slightly. I've seen the latest one in Fowlers a few times and it looks as though KTM have dialled down on the absurdity. I would recommend a road test, though, just to be absolutely sure. I never did a road test, so I can't lecture. At the time of buying my rc390, DVLA were still paying "keeps" with my licence - the bastids!

I was talking to a chap on Saturday who’d just bought a 2023 Superduke in the above colour, I didn’t have my phone at hand so no photos.
KTM have a deal on at the moment apparently, £3000 off.
He paid £13999 with the tech pack and 4 year warranty thrown in.
He also enquired about a new SFV4S, £23495 was the price!!
That KTM is a cracking deal.

They have had that deal going for a few months - since I was looking at one in October. They must have had a lot of stock.
Same here in Ireland so I asked my dealer here when I was there last year and he reckoned the new colors fucked the sales up as people weren't mad on the new color scheme ... The dark blue or my black sold and the new orange and silver were left in stock to be discounted.. People probably waiting on the new model also 🤷‍♂️

I know this is a Ducati Forum, but at least it's the right thread...

Dropped the bike after losing balance at a standstill

Crash bar more or less did its job, but genny cover took a couple of gouges from the brake lever.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the engine paint on a 2019 Super Adventure S?

Doesn't matter what you ride it's an open platform, sorry to hear about your off. I have no idea on paint code but maybe a google or phone a KTM dealer for said question.

That's a bugger!

I can recommend paintnuts.co.uk for touch up paints.

What does your "dealer" know about motorbikes?

I still keep looking at 1290 Super Adventure S
KTM 1290 Superadventure S 23 - Includes Tech pack | eBay
I just went adventure R. Didnt want the electronic sussy package as it was a right failure ballache with my MTS1200.
Motor/gearing on the adventures makes them very lively for a big bike. Loving it and havent even moved the superduke since the
adventure arrived.

Teasdales in Thirsk still have new '23 SAS at big reductions, and will do a decent reduction on the tech pack too.

I sat on one when I was discussing my deal for the Superduke, very nice.
That’s a hell of a lot of bike for the money.
The Superduke is my first KTM, the engine for the road is mind blowing!

Glen, I've been in contact with Mark there, he sent me through some figures, which seem too good to be true but actually are. The 1290 SAS 24 plate, tech pack, heat pack, crash bar pack, front radar, 4 year warranty PCP deal 3 years 6k PA 2.9% APR, for under 80 quid a month. I tried other KTM dealers nobody even close.
So I chucked him one of AC's bags of sand, over the phone, pulling the trigger to sign up on monday unless he's fucked up with thefigures!
Only thing I have to do is take all the goodies of the mutley but leave the panniers.
So if there will be some rather nice goodies coming up for sale, In fact if anyone would like a 2017 dvt 22k recent belts and desmo service nearly new BT23 GT's with panniers cheap, as in what I've been offered trade in £6750 PM me.
All the goodies can be negotiated with the bike.

Cool. Mark has sold me my last 2 bikes. Always seems to manage to find that last little bit to get the deal over the line.👍
