Climate Change (Global Warming) 🥶🌍🌞

Stupid moronic wankers 🤷‍♂️

A popular Christmas market may not go ahead this year because the county council has “prioritised their net-zero ambitions”, the organiser of the festive event claims.

Oxford's longest running market could be forced to close this Christmas after council chiefs said they are adamant that a cycle lane must remain open.

Businesses effected should withhold their rates. If enough of them bandied together it would get traction...these fuckers in government (at all levels) need to remember who they work for.

and this ... its pissing it down again here BTW, so we are obviously exempt from climate change in Britain :(

Won't happen Dox we are just out of 2 years of watching people make fucking idiots of themselves, people literally stood 2 meters apart with cloth masks covering their faces to stop a deadly virus 😝😝😝 people will do as they are told despite their livelihoods being destroyed 🤷‍♂️ climate change is the next load of fear mongering bollocks to keep the dumb dumbs afraid of life 🤔

A bit from this made me chuckle. Bearing in mind we've been told about if the global temperature goes up by more than a degree or two we will drown in the excess ice melt from the poles.

But as global temperatures rise with global warming, fresh water is pouring into the Amoc from the melting Greenland ice cap and other sources.
It if collapses, it could lower temperatures by up to 10 or 15 degrees in Europe and lead to rising sea levels in the eastern US. It would also disrupt rain that billions rely on for agriculture.

If temperatures drop by 10-15 degrees, wouldn't the poles see far less ice melt and not more?

The un say the world is past climate change and now boiling 😆😆😆😆😆😆 what a bunch of cunnnts you couldn't set a fcuking tree on fire here without 50 litres of petrol the place is so fucking wet and damp 😆😆😆

If your own country see's a rise in temperature so you have a lovely summer, won't that drastically reduce the amount of flights going to foreign countries, reduce the amount of household heating used, improve air quality and mean more reliable trains as they won't have leaves/snow/rain/squirrels on the track?

Copied from elsewhere, but who’s going to try it this winter

Air source heat pumps will not keep the vast majority of UK homes warm in winter. How do we know this? Well, a typical gas boiler has flow rate to radiator temperature set somewhere between 60 and 80 degrees depending on a home’s insulation, outdoor temperature, or how tight you are. Some boilers have weather compensators built-in.

Do not be fooled by government figures or greenwashing spivs in the air source heat pump industry when they say that water temperatures reach 55 degC and you might only need a little more insulation. That’s for hot water (which also has a 3 kWh recovery immersion) not flow temperature to radiators. Flow is 35-45 degC.

They know this, which is why all new build houses since June 2023 must be built to incredibly high insulation levels so that ASHPs will perform.

If you want to know how warm your home will be with an ASHP, turn your boiler flow rate temperature down to 40 degC this winter. (It’s simple to do whether you have a digital display or dial).

Do this simple test when it gets cold, and then buy a spare boiler before they’re banned.
