In a 2016 video story published by the International Business Times UK on YouTube, Don Pettit says the following:
"I'd go to the moon in a nanosecond. The problem is we don't have the technology to do that anymore. We used to but we destroyed that technology and it's a painful process to build it back again. But going to Mars should be one of the next series of steps that humans do. The first step should be going back to the moon for a number of technical reasons and exploration reasons. And then after that, Mars, maybe high orbit in Venus atmosphere, maybe going to Europa. There's all kinds of targets to go to, places of interest in our solar system. The only limit to human future is our own imaginations."
I read an article recently equating the moon missions with the Concorde. We don’t currently have any commercial flights any where near the speed Concorde was doing. So it could be argued that we never did. And anyone who argues that we did will only reinforce the opinion that we never did. Seems to be how the human mind works. Right, I am not going to have a beer now…

One thing NASA has never been short of is money.
Concorde was a commercial vehicle. They could build a thousand of them now if it made financial sense. But NASA saying it's too hard to do what they claim they've done multiple times...not buying that.
The holograms they portray or fast jets at airshows to fool the paying public are proof of concord innit

There were twenty Concordes built. Ten built in France and ten in Britain. All still exist except two French ones. One that crashed in 2000 and was scrapped and another that was cannibalised for spares. The last one to fly was the British no. 10 which is now in a museum in Scotchland.
