Climate Change (Global Warming) 🥶🌍🌞

😂😂😂😂

Aerial view of a coastline, sandy shore and large field of solar panels amid sparse greens

I saw this earlier

So it got me thinking, just how much does two islands in upside down land contribute to global emissions?

According to Stats from 2022.... 0.084%,

🤭

What…even with all those sheep farting?

Probably been posted before...

Interesting how it presents evidence from the elephant in the room to debunk what it clearly a global warming myth, but does not discuss the impact of the elephant itself: human population growth and expanding urbanisation.

I've always believed that the real threat to the health of the planet is not mean global temperature, which is about the only metric uneffected by it, but human over-population. Every other metric is impacted severely by the over-abundance of humanity, from resource depletion, air and water-born pollution, habitat loss, diminishing bio-diversity and intra/inter zoonotic disease mutation.
Still waiting for that conversation to start.
Human proliferation and the attendent industrial degradation of the planet is the problem, not the cleanliness of otherwise of the energy source which drives that proliferation.
If you cut down a tree the tree still dies, regardless of whether the chainsaw is powered by a petrol engine or a solar panel.

Ironically the improvements in health and social welfare mean that an ever increasing number of us are surviving longer, and those who, hundreds of years ago would not have lived to breeding age, now do. Thus evolution by survival of the fittest is becoming a thing of the past and the species as a whole are becoming weaker as a result.
This will only change if technology can't keep up with nature e.g. If we can't find an alternative to antibiotic resistance evolution will, once again get the upper hand.
